It's my thought for the day that I would like to share with all of you The above Photo is of .Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who was born in Mayapur in the town of Nadia in West Bengal State of India just after sunset on the evening of the 23rd Phal...guna 1407 Shakabda, ( February 4, 1486 of the Christian Era). at Nabadwip inWest Bengal State of India.Sankirtan Movement of Lord Krishna appeared as Lord Chaitanya over five hundred years ago in India to bring the medicine for the diseased human society in the form of this movement. He brought the chanting of Hare Krishna. The whole mission of Lord Chaitanya was to introduce Krishna consciousness by this simple chanting process.In His famous prayers, Lord Chaitanya used to say :O My Lord, You have made it so easy to approach you by the chanting of your holy name. He was also sometimes referred to by the names Gaura (Sanskrit for golden one) due to his light skin complexion and Nimai due to his being born underneath a Neem tree After leaving Bengal and receiving entrance into the sannyasa order by Keshava Bharati, he had journeyed throughout the length and breadth of India for several years, chanting the divine Names of Krishna constantly. He spent the last twenty four years of his life in Puri in Orisa State of India known as the great temple city of Jagannäth. The Suryavanshi Hindu emperor of Odisha, Gajapati Maharaja Prataparudra Dev, regarded the Lord as Krishna incarnation and was an enthusiastic patron and devotee of Chaitanya's sankeertan party. It was during these years that Lord Chaitanya is believed by His followers to have sunk deep into various Divine-Love samādhi on June 14, 1533 with instructions to us to sing Sankritan of Lord Krisna .Let us pay our humble obeisance to his lotus feet with prayers to bless us with his bliss to carry out his legacy truthfully in our life!
