Divine Message as flashed on the f.b. on September 29,2010.

Bishwanath Singh Thanks for your such a noble presentation that I appreciate. One should not forget that this is a very complex society where we live in, both good & bad people exist. Some of them are very helpful whereas most of them are very callous at times to others. Let us hope that good sense will prevail to those who are on wron...g paths and will join main stream of society comprising of good people to learn values of godly life! Unless we follow the path of truth, love & non-violence, chances of improvement seems to be very bleak. One must follow the code of ethical & moral values to lead a very blissful life. One must not forget that the service to human-being is service to God.Let us resove to follow it very truthfully to have godly bliss in our life !

DIVINE MESSAGE - 29.09.10

There is no virtue higher than love, there is no treasure higher than love, there is no religion higher than love, because love is Truth, love is God. This world has come out of love, this world exists in love and this world ultimately dissolves in love. In every inch of His creation you can verily understand His love. (Swami Sivananda)### Serve all creatures of God. The service of servants of God is His real worship. If you can not speak well of someone rather do not say anything. दीन-दुखियों की सेवा करो। भगवान के सेवकों की सेवा ही भगवान की सच्ची भक्ति है। यदि आप किसी के लिए अच्छा नही कह सकते तो कुछ न कहना बेहतर है।

Rahul Gandhi emphasised to defeat communal forces as flashed on the f.b on September 29,2010.

Bishwanath Singh :Rahul Gandhi though born with golden spoon in his mouth but has great feelings for commoners with whom he is very friendly and in return, all adore and hold him lovingly.. He is a man of simple living with high thinking with full of passion & wisdom. He has a very great future provided he remains away from sycophants and was not mislead by them who in stead of delivering goods will be harmful for his cause
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rahul Gandhi asked the partymen to ensure defeat of communal forces through democratic and Gandhian ...way.

Misuse of developmental funds ,

congress party at the centre is well aware of the problems faced by the

poor, down trodden, unemployed youth and weavers and so schemes like

MNREGA, RTI, Education for all are devised but the money sent by Centre

doesn’t reach to the people targeted. “When you ask villagers in Bihar and UP as

how many of them want jobs, half of them raise their hands but when ask

them how many of them have job-cards under NREGA, none raises ones,” Congress party would change the politics in Bihar and UP with the power of youth.

“We are

committed for development in Bihar and UP and ample employment opportunity for

the youth here and our party’s politics is based on these”

Bishwanath Singh: Rahul Gandhi is a young man with pleasing manners having embedded with full of passion & wisdom that will take him though long way into Indian Politics to acquire a place of pride & prominence. He is regarded well as the worthy son of his worthy parents. He has been following trait of his great grand father Late Pandi...t Jawahar Lal Nehru, former first Prime Minister of Independent India regarding his punctuality. Nevertheless to mention that his great grand father Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India who was so punctual about his timings that People by large attending his public meetings use to set timings of their watches as per timing of his schedule for arrival on the venue during Nehru era. I am myself a testimony to it when I was studying at Ewing Christian College, Allahabad that time when I use to attend his public meeting addressed by Nehru close to the premises of K.P.College, Allahabad.May God bless Rahul Gandhi who a very prominent mass leader of Congress Party and an icon for Indian Youths with all grand success in his life!

A tribute to Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra as flashed by me on the f.b. on September 29,2010.

Bishwanath Singh :Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra was born on the12th January 1972 in Delhi-capital of India. The daughter of Late Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. She is the younger sister of Rahul Gandhi ( Rahul was born on the 19th June 1970)and a popular figure of the Nehru-Gandhi family She studied at Modern School and Convent of Jesus and ...Mary, Delhi and went on to pursue a degree in Psychology from the prestigious Delhi University. Though she has said time and again that she doesn't want to be a politician, it can't be denied that she plays an active role in her mother's political dealings & in U.P. Politics. During election campaigns she interacts with the common people and apparently enjoys talking to them. She wants to serve the people without actively joining politics; still the people of Amethi (Rahul Gandhi's constituency) are hoping she changes her mind, for they are so very fond of her. Priyanka has been praised for being as diplomatic as her mother, Sonia Gandhi, the President of Indian National Congress. She is level-headed and organized; no wonder then that she is known to be her mother's chief adviser on political matters. She is married to Robert Vadra, and has two lovely children with him, Raihan and Miraya. There is a great resemblance in her face with that of her grand mother Indira Gandhi. She is a very decent lady, soft spoken and very well-behaved that is why she is liked by everybody who come in contact with her. Her husband Robert Vadra is also very supportive to her.Having been an eloquent speaker & possessing charming personality, She is always in great demand in different constituencies where poll is held to visit and address public as vote catcher to help win her Party candidature. Let us wish her all the best in her very long & happy life!

A glimpse on life of Lord Buddha as flashed by me on the f.b on September 29,2010.

Bishwanath Singh :The Buddism spread round the globe from India.Let us have glimpse on the sacred life of Lord Buddha! The original name of Buddha was Siddhartha. It meant one who had accomplished his aim. Gautama was Siddhartha's family name. Siddhartha was known all over the world as Buddha, the Enlightened. He was also known by the ...name of Sakhya Muni, which meant an ascetic of the Sakhya tribe. The Buddha who is the founder of the Buddhist religion is called Buddha Shakyamuni. "Shakya" is the name of the royal family into which he was born, and "Muni" means "Able One." Buddha Skakyamuni was born as a royal prince in 624 BC in a place called Lumbini, which was originally in northern India but is now part of Nepal. His mother's name was Queen Mayadevi and his father's name was King Shuddhodana. Siddhartha spent his boyhood at Kapilavastu and its vicinity. He was married at the age of sixteen. His wife's name was Yasodhara. Siddhartha had a son named Rahula .At the age of twenty-nine, Siddhartha Gautama suddenly abandoned his home to devote himself entirely to spiritual pursuits and Yogic practices. A mere accident turned him to the path of renunciation. One day he managed, somehow or the other, to get out of the walled enclosure of the palace and roamed about in the town along with his servant Channa to see how the people were getting on. The sight of a decrepit old man, a sick man, a corpse and a monk finally induced Siddhartha to renounce the world. He felt that he also would become a prey to old age, disease and death. Also, he noticed the serenity and the dynamic personality of the monk. Let me go beyond the miseries of this Samsara (worldly life) by renouncing this world of miseries and sorrows. This mundane life, with all its luxuries and comforts, is absolutely worthless. I also am subject to decay and am not free from the effect of old age. Worldly happiness is transitory".Gautama left for ever his home, wealth, dominion, power, father, wife and the only child. He shaved his head and put on yellow robes. He marched towards Rajgriha, the capital of the kingdom of Magadha. There were many caves in the neighboring hills. Many hermits lived in those caves. Siddhartha took Alamo Kalamo, a hermit, as his first teacher. He was not satisfied with his instructions. He left him and sought the help of another recluse named Uddako Ramputto for spiritual instructions. At last he determined to undertake Yogic practices. He practiced severe Tapas (austerities) and Pranayama (practice of breath control) for six years. He determined to attain the supreme peace by practicing self-mortification. He abstained almost entirely from taking food. He did not find much progress by adopting this method. He was reduced to a skeleton. He became exceedingly weak.According to Buddha "Dharma" means "protection". By practicing Buddha's teachings we protect our self from suffering and problems. All the problems we experience during daily life originate from ignorance, and the method for eliminating ignorance is to practice Dharma.Practicing Dharma is the supreme method for improving the quality of our human life. The quality of life depends not upon external development or material progress, but upon the inner development of peace and happiness. For example, in the past many Buddhists lived in poor and underdeveloped countries, but they were able to find pure, lasting happiness by practicing what Buddha had taught to his disciples. Let us cherish His memories and pay our humble obeisance’s to His lotus feet who is also known as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu!

Congratulation India

for 2010 Common Wealth Games

“We are here for

...glories we are not here for discussing failure stories”

First of all, I want

to welcome my all Face Book friends in this post. I don’t know why 2010 Games

are coming near and our people are still discussing our failures rather than

preparing for celebrations. I think this is because of media, which have distorted

the image of this Game and made this show a show of blames instead of show of

Games. And our people are so fond of discussing failures that they forgot about

our achievements while discussing negatives. The failure of Construction

Companies does not mean India fails. Failure as part of some environmental

issues does not means India fails. We achieved and we made I don’t say with

perfection but we made only that much I know. I don’t know why people only saw

when bridge collapsed but they forget to see at the time when our military have

constructed a new bridge within a few days. I don’t know why people saw the

charges of corruption but they forget to see the performances of our folk

artists during welcome ceremonies. I don’t know why people blamed government

for misappropriation of funds but they forget to see the contribution of public

towards these funds. As per as bridge is concerned every bridge will collapse

one day. As per as corruption is concerned I want to say nothing will happen if

we discuss decease instead of finding cures. The cure of every decease hidden

inside in its roots not in outcomes so try to find out roots inside us and also

try to destroy them but firstly own roots then think about others. And as per

as funds are concerned even we don’t know how to spend money ask yourself how

wisely you spend your money when you are in market so I think spending money at

national level is also not a matter of fun.

With these words, I

want to stop now. But my request to my all friends please do not distort our

countries image at least here at social networking site as per as the

informations of media unless or until you have seen the venues of the Games

yourself. Because “we are here for love& glories not for discussing failure

stories”.

A sikh is a disciple of Guru asflashed by me on the f.b. on September 28,2010.

Bishwanath Singh :Let us attribute our great feelings & admirations to Sikhism and prior to that we must know what Sikh means to us living far & wide!A Sikh is a follower of Sikhism. Sikhism (Sikhi in Punjabi) primarily originated in 15th century Punjab region of India. The term "Sikh" has its origin in Sanskrit term “Sisya “meaning "d...isciple or student" .The sikh is a disciple of the guru. Sikh is defined as "any human being who faithfully believes in One Immortal Being; ten Gurus, from Guru Nanak Dev to Sri Guru Gobind Singh; the Sri Guru Granth Sahib; the teachings of the ten Gurus and the baptism bequeathed by the tenth Guru; and who does not owe allegiance to any other religion".Sikhs believe in the Equality of Mankind, the concept of Universal brotherhood of Man and One Supreme God.Sikhs are easily recognized with their turbans, uncut hair, and heavy metal bracelet (kara). Most men have Singh (lion) and women Kaur (princess) in their names. The greater Punjab region is the historical homeland of the Sikhs, although significant communities exist around the world. Guru Nanak, was the founder of Sikhism. The Guru summed the basis of Sikh lifestyle as: Naam Japo, Kirat Karni and Wand kay Shako, which means meditate on the holy name (Waheguru), work diligently and honestly, and share one's fruits. The guiding principles of the Sikh faith are Truth, Equality, Freedom, Justice, and Karma. The Sikhs revere Guru Granth Sahib as their supreme teacher. The tenth Guru appointed Guru Granth Sahib as the guru of Sikhs for all time to come. Compiled by the Sikh Gurus, and maintained in its original form, Guru Granth Sahib is revered by Sikhs as their supreme guide. Non-Sikhs can partake fully in Sikh prayer meetings and social functions. Their daily prayers include the well being of all of mankind. Sikhism can be considered one of the more universal religions. The Guru Granth Sahib, in addition to the revelations of the Sikh gurus, contains revelations of various saints and sages of that period. The opening hymn of the holy Guru Granth Sahib expounds the nature and attributes of God: Sikhs are required not to renounce the world and aspire to live a modest life. Seva (service) is an integral part of Sikh worship, very easily observed in the Gurdwara. Visitors of any religious or socio-economic background are welcomed, where langar (food for all) is always served and is another way to break the caste system by serving people of all origins with same food sitting together at same level on the floor.

A tribute to Saheed Bhagat Singh on his Birth day on September 28,2010

Bishwanath Singh Bishwanath Singh Bhagat Singh was an Indian freedom fighter, considered to be one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement. He is often referred to as Shaheed Bhagat Singh ( shaheed meaning "martyr").Born to a Jat Sikh fam...ily on the 28th September 1907 which had earlier been involv...ed in revolutionary activities against the British Raj in India, Singh, as a teenager, had studied European revolutionary movements and was attracted to anarchism and communism. He became involved in numerous revolutionary organizations. He quickly rose through the ranks of the Hindustan Republican Association and became one of its leaders, converting it to the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association .Singh had gained massive support when he underwent a sixty four fast in jail, demanding equal rights for Indian and British political prisoners. He was hanged for shooting a police officer in response to the killing of veteran freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai.
His legacy prompted youth in India to begin fighting for Indian independence and also increased the rise of socialism in India. Bhagat Singh was known for his appreciation of martyrdom. His mentor as a young boy was Kartar Singh Sarabha. Singh is himself considered a martyr for acting to avenge the death of Lala Lajpat Rai. In the leaflet he threw in the Central Assembly on 9 April 1929, he stated that it is easy to kill individuals but you cannot kill the ideas. Great empires crumbled while the ideas survived. After engaging in studies on the Russian Revolution, he wanted to die so that his death would inspire the youth of India which in turn will unite them to fight the British Empire. While in prison, Bhagat Singh and two others had written a letter to the Viceroy asking him to treat them as prisoners of war and hence to execute them by firing squad and not by hanging. On the  23rd March 1931, Bhagat Singh was hanged in Lahore with his fellow comrades Rajguru and Sukhdev. His supporters, who had been protesting against the hanging, immediately declared him as a shaheed or martyr

A brief on a successful young enterpreneur Lenora Shulga of Kharkov of Ukraine as flashed by me on September 27,2010.

Bishwanath Singh :Success may mean, but is not limited to: a level of’ social status’.achievement of an objective/goal & the opposite of failure. Individuals can set personal goals. Goal setting and planning promotes long-term vision and short-term motivation. It focuses intention, desire, acquisition of knowledge, and helps to organize... resources.Efficient goal work includes recognizing and resolving all guilt, inner conflict or limiting belief that might cause one to sabotage one's efforts. By setting clearly-defined goals, one can subsequently measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals. One can see progress in what might have seemed a long, perhaps impossible. Achieving complex and difficult goals requires: focus, long-term diligence and effort. Success in any field requires forgoing excuses and justifications for poor performance or lack of adequate planning; in short, success requires emotional maturity. The measure of belief that people have in their ability to achieve a personal goal also affects that achievement.A real success comes to those who strive hard for it with all sincerity at their command. Here, I would like to salute a young ,dynamic and successful entrepreneur who rose to height because of her hard labor & great sincerity with whom I had a chance to meet about a year ago at Kharkov in Ukraine and was impressed by her decent behavior, likeable nature & entrpreneurship.

Bishwanath Singh: Our humble obeisance's to the lotus feet of Lord Krishna and His most caring & loving mother Yashoda Rani who had groomed Him very well during His childhood!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Tania Shah had desired to know more about Lord Krishna & his family, here is my brief note on the... said subject. As per epics, Krishna’s birth day known as Janmashtami, was on either 18 or 21 July 3228 BCE. Krishna belonged to the royal family of Mathura, and was the eighth son born to the princess Devaki, and her husband Vasudeva. Mathura was the capital of the Yadavas, to which Krishna's parents Vasudeva and Devaki belonged. The king Kansa, Devaki's brother, had ascended the throne by imprisoning his father, King Ugrasena. Afraid of a prophecy that predicted his death at the hands of Devaki's eighth son, Kansa had the couple locked into a prison cell. After Kansa killed the first six children, and Devaki's apparent miscarriage of the seventh (which was actually a secret transfer of the infant to Rohini as Balarama), Krishna was born.Since Vasudeva believed Krishna's life was in danger, Krishna was secretly taken out of the prison cell to be raised by his foster parents, Yasoda and Nanda, in Gokula. Two of his other siblings also survived, Balarama (Devaki's seventh child, transferred to the womb of Rohini, Vasudeva's first wife) and Subhadra (daughter of Vasudeva and Rohini, born much later than Balarama and Krishna). the womb of Devaki. Hindus believe that in that time, this type of union was possible for achieved beings. Nand was the head of a community of cow-herders, and he settled in Vrindavana. The stories of Krishna's childhood and youth tell how he became a cow herder,] his mischievous pranks as Makhan Chor (butter thief), his foiling of attempts to take his life, and his role as a protector of the people of Vrindavana. Krishna is said to have killed the demons like Putana, sent by Kansa for Krishna's life. He tamed the serpent Kāliyā, who previously poisoned the waters of Yamuna river, thus leading to the death of the cowherds. In Hindu art, Krishna is often depicted dancing on the multi-hooded Kāliyā. Krishna is believed to have lifted the Govardhana hill and taught Indra, the king of the devas and rain, a lesson to protect native people of Vrindavana from persecution by Indra and prevent the devastation of the pasture land of Govardhan. Indra had too much pride and was angry when Krishna advised the people of Vrindavana to take care of their animals and their environment that provide them with all their necessities, instead of worshipping Indra annually by spending their resources. In the view of some, the spiritual movement started by Krishna had something in it which went against the orthodox forms of worship of the Vedic gods such as Indra The stories of his play with the gopis (milkmaids) of Vrindavana, especially Radha (daughter of Vrishbhanu, one of the original residents of Vrindavan) became known as the Rasa lila On his return to Mathura as a young man, Krishna overthrew and killed his uncle, Kansa, after avoiding several assassination attempts from Kansa's followers. He reinstated Kansa's father, Ugrasena, as the king of the Yadavas and became a leading prince at the court. During this period, he became a friend of Arjuna and the other Pandava princes of the Kuru kingdom, who were his cousins. Later, he took his Yadava subjects to the city of Dwaraka (in modern Gujarat) and established his own kingdom there.

A homge to Bhagat Singh as flashed by me on the f.b . on September 26,2010.

Bishwanath Singh :The grateful nation celebrates Birth Anniversary of Our great martyr of freedom movement Bhagat Singh today with reverence. Let us pay our homage to him and have a glimpse on my brief on his dedicated life for cause of our motherlandBhagat Singh is remembered widely as an Indian freedom fighter who was considered to b...e one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement. He is often referred to as Shaheed Bhagat Singh (the word shaheed means "martyr" that was conferred on him ).Born to a Jat Sikh family on the 27th of September 1907 to Sardar Kishan Singh Sandhu and Vidyavati in the Khatkar Kalan village near Banga in the Lyallpur district of Punjab of India. His family had earlier been involved in revolutionary activities against the British Raj in India, Singh, as a teenager, had studied European revolutionary movements and was attracted to anarchism and communism. He became involved in numerous revolutionary organizations. He quickly rose through the ranks of the Hindustan Republican Association and became one of its leaders, converting it to the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association .Singh gained support when he underwent a 64-day fast in jail, demanding equal rights for Indian and British political prisoners. He was hanged on the 23rd of March 1931 for shooting a police officer in response to the killing of veteran freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai. On 23 March 1931, Bhagat Singh was hanged in Lahore with his fellow comrades Rajguru and Sukhdev. His supporters, who had been protesting against the hanging, immediately declared him as a shaheed or martyr. According to the Superintendent of Police at the time, V.N. Smith, the hanging was advanced: Normally execution took place at 8 am, but it was decided to act at once before the public could become aware of what had happened...At about 7 pm shouts of Inquilab Zindabad were heard from inside the jail. This was correctly, interpreted as a signal that the final curtain was about to drop. Singh was cremated at Hussainiwala on banks of Sutlej river. Today, the Bhagat Singh Memorial commemorates freedom fighters of India. A museum by the name "Shaheed-e-azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Museum" has been built at his maternal village, where sand and newspaper stained with his blood and his half burnt bones are preserved. His legacy prompted youth in India to begin fighting for Indian independence and also increased the rise of socialism in India.

A dream described by me is flshed on the f.b on September 26,2010.

Bishwanath Singh :A dream is always painful but it gives us joy for some time.Let us have glimpse of what dream is to us! A dream is a succession of images, sounds or emotions that the mind experiences during sleep The content and purpose of dreams are not fully understood, though they have been a topic of speculation and interest thro...ughout recorded history. The scientific study of dreams is known as oneirology. Dreams have been described physiologically as a response to neural processes during sleep. Psychologically, dream is reflections of the subconscious, and spiritually, dream is viewed as messages from Gods. Many cultures practice dream incubation, with the intention of cultivating dreams that were prophetic or contained messages from the divine. During the night there may be many external stimuli bombarding the senses, but the brain often interprets the stimulus and makes it a part of a dream in order to ensure continued sleep. Dream incorporation is a phenomenon whereby an actual sensation, such as environmental sounds, are incorporated into dreams. The mind can, however, awaken an individual if they are in danger or if trained to respond to certain sounds, such as a baby crying. Except in the case of lucid dreaming, people dream without being aware that they are doing so. The recall of dreams is extremely unreliable, though it is a skill that can be trained. Dreams can usually be recalled if a person is awakened while dreaming. Women tend to have more frequent dream recall than men. Dreams that are difficult to recall may be characterized by relatively little affect, and different factors, and interference play a role in dream recall. Often, a dream may be recalled upon viewing or hearing a random trigger or stimulus. Though, it is momentarily, but dream at times take one to heaven and the next moment to hale and here lies the beauty of our sub-conscious mind when one is in sound sleep.

A legacy of Nehru as flashed by me on the f.b. on September 26,2010.

Bishwanath Singh :Let us entrust Historians to judge as who & where one had committed blunder in the past that the nation is facing their wrath. The partition was itself unpalatable to many but it took place and the nation was divided into on two nations theory promulgated . For all lapses, Pandit Nehru can't be accused and held respons...ible though he was the Prime Minister of our country. Pandit Nehru has been the best Prime Minister of our country that country could see in him. He was a mass leader with full of wisdom and passion in his heart towards common people. The nation could ever see in him all the great virtues that the great statesman of the world possess. He was very punctual and sincere towards his works. He was always regarded as pride for our nation who strived hard to overcome many problems our county was facing due to partition during his tenure. . One will recollect that on the 15th of January 1941 Gandhi Ji had very clearly said, "Some say Pandit Nehru and I were estranged. It will require much more than difference of opinion to estrange us. We had differences from the time we became co-workers and yet I have said for some years and say now that not Chakravarti Rajagopalachari but Jawar Lal Nehru will be my successor. Let us pay our homage to Late Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and imbibe his virtues in our life to make our life blissful!

Bishwanath Singh :Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru formerly Prime Minister of our country was a man of vision, a true Patriot and Statesman who is still adored by over billions of people spread round the globe. He was a man having towering personality. His Birth A...nniversary will be celebrated after a month & half on the 14th of November as Children’s Day as a tribute to him as he use to love children immensely. Nehru was a charismatic and radical leader, advocating complete independence from the British Empire. In the long struggle for Indian independence, in which he was a key person, Nehru was eventually recognized as Gandhi's political heir. Throughout his life, Nehru was also an advocate for Fabian socialism and the public sector as the means by which long-standing challenges of economic development could be addressed by poor nations. Jawaharlal Nehru was a passionate advocate of education for India's children and youth, believing it essential for India's future progress. His government oversaw the establishment of many institutions of higher learning, including the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, the Indian Institutes of Technology and the Indian Institutes of Management. Nehru also outlined a commitment in his five-year plans to guarantee free and compulsory primary education to all of our country’s children. For this purpose, Nehru oversaw the creation of mass village enrollment program and the construction of thousands of schools. Nehru also launched initiatives such as the provision of free milk and meals to children in order to fight malnutrition. Adult education centers, vocational and technical schools were also organized for adults, especially in the rural areas. Let us pay our homage to him and pay our humble obeisance's to his lotus feet!

My comment on English usage by Kamlesh Bahukhandi as flashed on the f.b. on September 25,2010.

English usage-By -Kamlesh Bahukhandi on Saturday, September 25, 2010
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The bus gurgled to a start From Rishikesh to Pauri ( My hometown ) and I was almost threatened to miss it again. One more late, a day gone. But some Samaritan inside screamed to stop and it screeched a brake. Panting for breath I climbed in and with an equal jolt dropped on an empty seat (fortunately!). Oh! That was Ravi a School Teacher and a co-traveller enroute to the School . “The bus no…before time came and going. Tomorrow..no-no..kal-kal (I put in, Ah! Yesterday?) yes, yes, it is never came only! I saw you and told conductor stop stop. So much problems, no….this bus..one day came and then not came….!”Amused I was, at the ‘English’ usage. Though equally proficient in the local or the national language, this fascination for English is really not understandable! Why this persistence? Well, Pappu, our vegetable vendor, admitted both his children in ‘Inlis medium’ ‘aage chalke achha banenge!’ So did my maid. But who will coach them? “Tuson rakh lenge Behan ji (school teacher... not... Mayawati ) ke paas!!” These days, every other person goes to a convent school. Pray, from when have these names been associated with ‘convents’? The other day, at a meeting, one member came up to me confessing he had joined an English-speaking class to feel at ease with us. I assured him that we are comfortable with him even when he speaks to us in Hindi as I myself is not good in English when it comes to speaking , but he insisted, “Achchha nahin lagta na….aap sab Inglis mein baat karte hain…!” Commonly heard are: “I have two sons , both are boys !;” “I have headache in my head” etc. Repeatedly one hears : “my head is eating circles” (literal translation). A die-hard lover of English said so: “He is sitting in the hall of the living room…” or, take for instance, “what is because of this?” etc. The science teacher rushed into his class, fuming, ordered, “Open the doors of the windows!” In this part of India, between September and November, it is always Actoober (the stress is on the ‘oo’ invariably!). Coming to an institution, where hoards of children come to learn, a general answer to a difficult question is thus : “Sorry Sir I am unknown!” Children making mistakes is pardonable; but what of a Presiding officer in an official meeting, who got up to say, “I have ‘conceived’ (for ‘convinced’) my colleague…..!” Another colleague tendered an application for leave, “I have undergone MTP for my wife, so kindly grant me leave…..” etc. For a funeral attendance he wrote “I want to follow my friend to the graveyard so kindly grant me leave…..” India, with its diverse cultures and multi-lingual tradition, has a huge lineage of great writers and poets writing in English, beginning with Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, to Arundhati Roy, Vikram Seth or Amitav Ghosh. In Nirad Chaudhuri’s special celebration edition of Hobson-Jobson, Anglo-Indian words have found a place of pride in the thousand-page glossary, reading which makes one feel that ‘English’ sounds more “angrezi” than a pucca desi drawling of “Inglis” trying to fan out some sophistication of its manners and etiquette, which infact, is one of the best in the world. English is universal; it is not a language to be sneered at or to be shown off. Everyday we learn a bit. Mind you, it has come here to stay!

Bishwanath Singh :Thanks for your very lovely and meaningful presentatiom. You have raised a very pertinent point that I would like to share with you in a little detail.None can deny that Hindi is not our national language and as why we should not popularize... it. We do love Hindi, admire Hindi and speak Hindi very well but because of several constraints, we can't communicate each other in Hindi though wished to do so. We don't have apathy for Hindi as we consider it to be most interesting language but not at the cost of English as it is an international recognized language that cements people from one continent to another & vice-versa. One can’t popularize Hindi by mere slogan raising rather the publishers and authors who publish & write boos respectively in Hindi have to be persuaded to go for cheap publication and use simple words so that Hindi literature could be popular amongst masses. It becomes solemn duty of our Union Govt. & all State Govts. to come forward and encourage cheap publication of our epics and other books in Hindi so that it could be popular. Hind Divas is celebrated only with intention as how best we could popularize it. Let leading authors, journalist, Academicians, publishers should sit round across a round table and discuss ways and means as how best Hindi could be encouraged in our country. Leading authors & publishers must be selected on their merit by Union Govt. & all State Govts. and National award /State award be given every year to encourage others to take up this work sincerely & honestly. Leading authors & publishers must be selected on their merits by Union Govt. & all State Govts. for National award /State award to be given to them every year to encourage others to take up this work sincerely & honestly. Let us examine as why Hindi is not so popular in our country! Firstly, India is a mufti-linguistic country having well-recognized twenty two more languages besides Hindi as duly accepted by our constitution in our country .Besides them, over one hundred more languages that people speak and converse in our country. We have one lakh twenty thousand Hindi words where English has ten lakh words. Truly speaking, we are synchronizing Hindi after independence. Before independence two organizations such as NagriK Pracharni Sabha & Hindi Sahitya Sammelan had done excellent jobs in propagating Hindi .Now almost those organizations are in decaying stage because of apathy of our Govts.. The great stalwarts like Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, Mahatma Gandhi,P.D.Tondon,,Seth Govind Das,Premchand & many others who were very prominent persons and great scholars had presided over Hindi Sahitaya Sammelan. Such personalities are rarely seen now presiding over any such meeting connected with extension of Hindi. It is a fact that job guarantee is at the lowest ebb to carry our livelihoods & meet personal expanses to our Hindi writers & Poets or who nurse Hindi for his/her career. Let us not forget that before we attained Independences on the 15th of August 1947,we were under British colonial rule for over a couple of centuries where English was taken as language of pride to converse and that old legacy, still we are carrying and that is why every Parentage feel like their children going in convent to be well-versed with English that none can deny. The only consolation we can have that now percentage of youths appearing in All India Civil Services Exams. Conducted by UPSC using Hindi as their medium for their exams . have gone up in recent years from seven percent that was in 2005 to twenty percent recently. Even the Selection board has started encouraging examinees to use Hindi as their medium since it is our Rashtra Bhasha. Why should we look at dark side of it? Hindi has a great future not only in our country but even in abroad as NRI have been using their mother tongues for their conversation amongst themselves and follow all rituals there to Keep their old values(”Sanskar”) & traditions alive.

A true facet of Priyanka (Gandhi) Vadra as flashed by me on the f.b. on September 25,2010.

Bishwanath Singh :There are no dearth of good people at & around but the only thing is as how many of us are concerned on such issues that is the point as we have become so self-centered grossly engaged for our own interest hardly caring interest for others. The human rights are for all not for any individual. Any one when he feels tha...t in his/her case, there has been violation of it, he/she is free to move to the commission to redress. If one takes lead for a common cause, the strength of actual supporters will be very few at times dismal but later on, realizing this hard core truth, strength of followers go on mounting day by day. Priyanka (Gandhi)Vadra is no exception to this thumb rule but she has a large followers of her own. Priyanka (Gandhi)Vadra being an eloquent speaker having charming personality is always in great demand in different constituencies where poll is held in our country to visit and address public as vote catcher to help win her Party candidature. Though, she prefers to remain at the lowest ebb in Indian Politics and prefer to remain a back-bencher but she has many followers of her own .She is an asst to her loving mother, brother and family of her own. She is often referred as a true replica of her grand mother who had ruled over hearts of billions in our country for many years in the past and the world wept on her tragic demise. Less we say about qualities, passion, wisdom & kindness-all combine in one in case of Priyanka (Gandhi) Vadra better will be as she is above our imaginations and beyond any description! Any one who comes in contact with her is bound to be impressed by her excellent behavior and pleasing manners. Let me join many like me to wish her all the best in her married life and hope to be the most shinning star of our motherland in near future!

Rahul Gandhi- a rising star of Indian Politics as flashed by me on the f.b . on September 25,2010.

Bishwanath Singh : It is hard core fact that unless one is very likeable, he/she can’t be loved & adored by thousands & thousands of People that is true and holds good in the case of Rahul Gandhi who is top most amongst the shining stars of our modern India who could be very well said as the worthy son of his worthy Parents. Such is his ...towering personality who is widely known as Prince amongst men of modern era who is widely known for his passion & wisdom. Rahul Gandhi because of his passion & wisdom has won heart of millions of people living far & wide. He is widely seen as an icon for youths and idol for all .What I could notice on few occasions his punctuality probably the trait he inherited from his great grand father Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India who was so punctual about his timings that People by large attending his meetings use to set timings of their watches as per timing of his schedule for arrival on the venue during Nehru era. Let us wish him all the best & pray to God to bliss him to be one of the most shining star of our modern India!

A note on the values of forgiveness as flashed by me on the f.b on Sepember 25,2010.

Bishwanath Singh: One often talks about forgiveness.Let us examine as what forgiveness means to all of us! Forgiveness is typically defined as the process of concluding resentment, indignation or anger as a result of a perceived offense, difference or mistake, and ceasing to demand punishment or restitution. Literary forgiveness is termed as to grant free pardon and to give up all claim on account of an offense or debt.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Further comment of  Bishwanath Singh :The concept and benefits of forgiveness have been explored in religious thought, the social sciences and medicine. Forgiveness may be considered simply in terms of the person who forgives including forgiving themselves, in terms of the pers...on forgiven and/or in terms of the relationship between the forgiver and the person forgiven. In some contexts, forgiveness may be granted without any expectation of restorative justice, and without any response on the part of the offender -for example, one may forgive a person who is incommunicado or dead. In practical terms, it may be necessary for the offender to offer some form of acknowledgment, apology, and/or restitution, or even just ask for forgiveness, in order for the wronged person to believe he is able to forgive. Most world religions include teachings on the nature of forgiveness, and many of these teachings provide an underlying basis for many varying modern day traditions and practices of forgiveness. Some religious doctrines or philosophies place greater emphasis on the need for humans to find some sort of divine forgiveness for their own shortcomings, others place greater emphasis on the need for humans to practice forgiveness of one another, yet others make little or no distinction between human and/or divine forgiveness. In the Christianity, in the New Testament, Jesus speaks of the importance of Christians forgiving or showing mercy towards others. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus repeatedly spoke of forgiveness, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy”. He also laid emphasis on love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. In Buddhism, forgiveness is seen as a practice to prevent harmful thoughts from causing havoc on one’s mental well-being. Buddhism recognizes that feelings of hatred and ill-will leave a lasting effect on our mind karma. Instead, Buddhism encourages the cultivation of thoughts that leave a wholesome effect. In Hinduism, Krishna, who is considered to be an incarnation of Vishnu by Hindus. Krishna said in the Gita that forgiveness is one of the characteristics of one born for a divine state. It is noteworthy that he distinguishes those good traits from those he considered to be demoniac, such as pride, self-conceit and anger. Islam teaches that God (Allah ) is 'The Most Forgiving', and is the original source of all forgiveness. Forgiveness often requires the repentance of those being forgiven. Depending on the type of wrong committed, forgiveness can come either directly from Allah, or from one's fellow man who received the wrong. In the case of divine forgiveness, the asking for divine forgiveness via repentance is important. In the case of human forgiveness, it is important to both forgive, and to be forgiven. As per Quran, to receive forgiveness from God there are three requirements (a) Recognizing the offense itself and its admission before God. (b) Undergoing commitment not to repeat the offense. & (c) Request for forgiveness from God. Forgiveness is therefore in nutshell itself an illusion, a tool for the undoing of unconscious guilt wherever it is experienced, and a tool which leads to the removal of all blocks to love. In time we thus must practice true forgiveness in order to undo the insane world we think is real.

Let us have a glimpse of beauty as flashed by me on the f.b. on September 24,2010.

Bishwanath Singh

Bishwanath Singh Beauty is a very vast subject that requires very careful study. Let us ponder over it! The beauty is a characteristic of a person, animal, place, object, or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure, meaning, or satisfaction. The beauty is studied as part of aesthetics, sociology, social psychology and culture. An Ideal beauty is an entity which is admired, or possesses features widely attributed to beauty in a particular culture, for perfection. The experience of "beauty" often involves the interpretation of some entity as being in balance and ha...rmony with nature, which may lead to feelings of attraction and emotional well-being.[ Because this is a subjective experience, it is often said that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder in its most profound sense, beauty may engender a salient experience of positive reflection about the meaning of one's own existence. A subject of beauty is anything that resonates with personal meaning. A ripe fruit was considered beautiful, whereas a young woman trying to appear older or an older woman trying to appear younger would not be considered beautiful.. The characterization of a person as beautiful. whether on an individual basis or by community consensus, is often based on some combination of Inner Beauty, which includes psychological factors such as personality, intelligence, grace, politeness, charisma, integrity, congruence and elegance, and Outer Beauty-i.e. physical attractiveness which includes physical factors, such as health, youthfulness, facial symmetry, averageness, and complexion.Standards of beauty are always evolving, based on what a culture considers valuable. Historical paintings show a wide range of different standards for beauty. However, humans who are relatively young, with smooth skin, well-proportioned bodies, and regular features, have traditionally been considered to be the most beautiful throughout history. A strong indicator of physical beauty is average ness. When images of human faces are averaged together to form a composite image, they become progressively closer to the ideal image and are perceived as more attractive. Although style and fashion vary widely, cross-cultural research has found a variety of commonalities in people's perception of beauty. Let us hope that we will keep our inner beauty intact by our good deeds!

A few important dispatch as flashed by me on the f.b. on September 24,2010

.Bishwanath Singh: The mother’s love is bigger than sky deeper than ocean and greater than the Almighty God. Her tale is much better than the best novel of the earth. Her lap is much more comfortable than the cushion bed. Her picture is more beautiful than a very fascinating scenery of the world. Her blessings are more powerful than t...he thousands of seas and mountains. Her shade is much more cooler than the shed of beautiful tress. Her light is brighter than the Sun. Her role is greater over fifty percent more than that of father. Her place is much more sacred than any shrine of the universe and overall, her care is much higher than the heavenly bliss. That is how a mother could be very well defined in nutshell.. One can understand great vacuum & void created in his/her life after passing away of his/her most loving mother. Let us pay our humble & respectful floral tribute to our holy mother who had all along been so caring to us irrespective of our age and her comforts!
