A legacy of Nehru as flashed by me on the f.b. on September 26,2010.

Bishwanath Singh :Let us entrust Historians to judge as who & where one had committed blunder in the past that the nation is facing their wrath. The partition was itself unpalatable to many but it took place and the nation was divided into on two nations theory promulgated . For all lapses, Pandit Nehru can't be accused and held respons...ible though he was the Prime Minister of our country. Pandit Nehru has been the best Prime Minister of our country that country could see in him. He was a mass leader with full of wisdom and passion in his heart towards common people. The nation could ever see in him all the great virtues that the great statesman of the world possess. He was very punctual and sincere towards his works. He was always regarded as pride for our nation who strived hard to overcome many problems our county was facing due to partition during his tenure. . One will recollect that on the 15th of January 1941 Gandhi Ji had very clearly said, "Some say Pandit Nehru and I were estranged. It will require much more than difference of opinion to estrange us. We had differences from the time we became co-workers and yet I have said for some years and say now that not Chakravarti Rajagopalachari but Jawar Lal Nehru will be my successor. Let us pay our homage to Late Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and imbibe his virtues in our life to make our life blissful!

Bishwanath Singh :Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru formerly Prime Minister of our country was a man of vision, a true Patriot and Statesman who is still adored by over billions of people spread round the globe. He was a man having towering personality. His Birth A...nniversary will be celebrated after a month & half on the 14th of November as Children’s Day as a tribute to him as he use to love children immensely. Nehru was a charismatic and radical leader, advocating complete independence from the British Empire. In the long struggle for Indian independence, in which he was a key person, Nehru was eventually recognized as Gandhi's political heir. Throughout his life, Nehru was also an advocate for Fabian socialism and the public sector as the means by which long-standing challenges of economic development could be addressed by poor nations. Jawaharlal Nehru was a passionate advocate of education for India's children and youth, believing it essential for India's future progress. His government oversaw the establishment of many institutions of higher learning, including the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, the Indian Institutes of Technology and the Indian Institutes of Management. Nehru also outlined a commitment in his five-year plans to guarantee free and compulsory primary education to all of our country’s children. For this purpose, Nehru oversaw the creation of mass village enrollment program and the construction of thousands of schools. Nehru also launched initiatives such as the provision of free milk and meals to children in order to fight malnutrition. Adult education centers, vocational and technical schools were also organized for adults, especially in the rural areas. Let us pay our homage to him and pay our humble obeisance's to his lotus feet!
