Bishwa Nath Singh :
I wonder as why Neta Ji Subash Chandra Bose and Karpoori Thakur were not honored with “Bharat Ratna” posthumously and Atal Bihari Vajpayee have not been honored so far with the National highest civilian award till date. The death of Net...a J has already been established Subhash Chandra Bose was one of the most dynamic leaders of India's struggle of independence who was popularly known as Netaji. Karpoori Thakur, former Chief Minister of Bihar who was popularly called Jan Nayak (Peoples’ leader) had died on February 18,1988 The contribution of Atal Bihari Vajpayee , the former Prime Minister of India can't be undermined who deserves the honor by all standards. He is well-known for being a poet, eminent journalist, and has published a book of poetry. He was the first bachelor Prime Minister of India. In 1957 when Atal Bihari Vajpayee was first elected to the Lok Sabha, the then Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was so impressed with the prodigious oratorical skills of a callow young man named Atal Behari Vajpayee during his very first stint in Parliament, he predicted that some day this youngster would be India's Prime Minister. Again, once while introducing Vajpayee to a visiting British prime minister, Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had said that Vajpayee is a young leader of opposition who is always criticizing him But he sees in him a great future. He was accredited as one of the finest Prime Minister of our country. Let us raise our concern and appeal to all members of the selection committee and Union Government in particular to kindly consider them as the most favored choice for being recipients of” Bharat Ratna”
and ensure that they are awarded with the nation highest civilian honor soon without any further delay!
