:Diana,:Princess of Wales (Diana Frances ) was born on July 1,1961 at Park House, Sandringham in Norfolk, England, the youngest of three daughters of John Spencer, Viscount Althorp and his first wife Frances Spencer, at Park House, Sandring...ham in Norfolk, England. Twenty-year-old Diana became The Princess of Wales when she married Charles on 29 July 1981 at St Paul's Cathedral., Diana gave birth to her and Prince Charles's first son and heir, Prince William of Wales on 21 June 1982 .A second son, Henry, was born about two years after William on September 15, 1984But after her divorce from Charles on August 28,1996 ,Diana lost the Royal Highness and became Diana, Princess of Wales. Diana became more than a public icon around the world with millions focused upon her every move in life. The princess was most noted for her charity work and public stance against land mines. Diana was the most photographed person in the world. In January 1997, Princess Diana toured Angola while she was serving as an International Red Cross VIP volunteer. Diana toured the de-mining projects being run by the HALO Trust and visited landmine survivors in hospitals. Photos of Diana walking though a minefield wearing a ballistic helmet and flak jacket were beamed around the world. Then later that year Diana visited Bosnia with the Landmine Survivors Network. Her visits and opposition to landmines drew worldwide public attention to the cause and brought nations involved in the production of landmines to sign the Ottawa Treaty in 1997 creating an international ban on the use of anti-personnel landmines. However, to this day some nations have still not signed the treaty. The most inspiring work of the Princess Diana was in 1987 when she became the first high-profile person to be photographed knowingly touching a person with the HIV virus. She had a very short life that lasted only thirty six years, but Princess Diana was the most photographed person in the world, and one of the most searched celebrities even decades after her death. Diana, adored by the public in Britain and abroad for her glamorous looks and charity work, died in a Paris car crash on August 31.1997, when she was thirty six. Her son William gave his bride-to-be his mother's engagement ring very recently. The life of Princess Diana has been one of controversy and so it also was in her death. It seemed as though the whole world stood still when news of her death became public. The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain was designed by Kathryn Gustafson. Located in Hyde Park in London, the fountain opened by Queen Elizabeth II, on July 6, 2004. According to the Mail,, Untold Story tells of a fictional princess who has a life that is both a fairytale and a nightmare. It is described as a "what if?" tale, imagining how Diana's life might have turned out had she been still alive! Diana's interest in supporting and helping young people led to the establishment of the Diana Memorial Award, awarded to youths who have demonstrated the unselfish devotion and commitment to causes advocated by the Princess Diana.Let us join to pay our homage to her who had won the heart of millions for her charitable work!
