My comment on Topic: India - Our perennial problem of Hunger as flashed on f.b. on 25.8.2010

Bishwanath Singh says: It is a vast subject.One has to go deep into its genesis as why our country can’t be shinning. Let us examine it one by one! The family welfare scheme that includes family planning must be pursued vigorously all over the country by bringing mass awareness amongst people through the means of persuasion. The chances of increasing agricultural land in our country seems to be remote so mechanized co-operative farming be introduced and pursued vigorously with good crop -rotation so that agricultural production could be enhanced to meet needs of people at large. Corruption that is rampant all throughout the country at every stage must be checked in and law-breakers must be severally punished. Extravagancies must be prevented in social functions; dowry system in marriages must be checked in and prevented as far as possible to avoid dowry deaths of newly married brides. The prohibition must be enforced to save lives of many people who die due to over intake of liquor that invites cardiac arrest and kidney failure. Basic infrastructures must be developed in both rural & urban areas. If all these are attended properly, there is no reason that oar country can't shine like glittering star in moonlit night.
