It's my thought for the day that I would like to share with everybody.Lord Shiva often appears in a meditating posture with sign of happiness on his glooming face. He has matted hair which holds the flowing the river the Ganges and a cresc...ent moon, a serpent coiled around his neck, a trident (trishul) in his one hand and covered with ashes all over his body. His attributes represent his victory over the demonic activity, and calmness of human nature. He is known as the Giver God. His mode of transport is a bull that is the symbol of happiness and strength named Nandi Shivalinga, a sign of the Lord Shiva, is adored instead of him. Almost all Shiva temples spread round the world have Shivalinga as the main deity who are fully decorated on the eve of Shivaratri that falls today..
