A rejoinder against verson of some one on f.b that Lord Krishna was not born in Mathura ( as published by me on the f.b. on September 3,2010)

Bishwanath Singh: One of my esteemed friend wrote on f.b. that Lord Krishna was not born in Mathura.Let us examine it!I am happy that Sri Krishna Janamashtmi was celebrated all over the world either on the 1st or on the 2nd September 2010 with great festivity and full of devotion!Let us ponder over traditional belief based on scriptural... details and astrological calculations that gives the date of Krishna's birth, known as Janmashtami, as either 18 or 21 July 3228 BCE! Krishna belonged to the royal family of Mathura, and was the eighth son born to the princess Devaki, and her husband Vasudeva. Mathura was the capital of the Yadavas, to which Krishna's parents Vasudeva and Devaki belonged. The king Kansa, Devaki's brother, had ascended the throne by imprisoning his father, King Ugrasena.
Afraid of a prophecy that predicted his death at the hands of Devaki's eighth son, Kansa had the couple locked into a prison cell. After Kansa killed the first six children, and Devaki's apparent miscarriage of the seventh (which was actually a secret transfer of the infant to Rohini as Balarama, Krishna was born. Since Vasudeva believed Krishna's life was in danger, Krishna was secretly taken out of the prison cell to be raised by his foster parents, Yasoda and Nanda, in Gokula. Two of his other siblings also survived, Balarama -Devaki's seventh child, transferred to the womb of Rohini, Vasudeva's first wife and Subhadra daughter of Vasudeva and
Rohini, born much later than Balarama and Krishna. According to Bhagavata Purana it is believed that Krishna was born without a sexual union, by "mental transmission" from the mind of Vasudeva into the womb of Devaki. It is common to all that Hindus believe that in that time, this type of union was possible for achieved beings. Hope, it satisfies every one who are raising controversial issues

Bishwanath Singh :Let us pay our humble obeisance to the lotus feet of Lord Krishna & Ma Yasoda and seek their bliss for well-being of all living-being of this universe and pray to them to give us wisdom to strive hard to make 'Global Peace and Universal Brotherhood" a success!
