Bishwanath Singh: Abhay Charanaravinda Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada who was born on September 1, 1896 in calcutta and left on heavenly abode on November 14, 1977 at Vrindavan in U.P.State of India was a true Gaudiya Vaishnava teacher and the founder Guru(Acharya) of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, commonly know...n as the Hare Krishna Movement.His mission was to propagate the Gaudiya Vaishnavism, a form of Hinduism that had been taught to him by his guru, Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati, throughout the world. Abhay Charan De was educated at the famous Scottish Church College.Calcutta.Before adopting the life of a pious renunciant (vanaprastha) in 1950, he was married and had children and owned a small pharmaceutical business. In 1959, he took a vow of renunciation (sannyasa) and started writing commentaries on Vaishnava scriptures. As the founder of ISKCON, he emerged as a major figure of the Western counterculture, initiating thousands of young Americans as a result all over the world, ISKCON temples were built magnificently and Sri Krishna movement was accelerated doing wonderful job. Let us pay our humble obeisance to the lotus feet of this great saint whom we adore the most and seek His bliss for success of on going movement of ‘Global Peace & Universal Brotherhood”!

Bishwanath Singh" The Smadhi Sthal(memorial place) where that great saint Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada was laid to rest at Vrindavan in India as per religious rites about nearly thirty three years ago which has become a holy place of pilgrimage for His followers and devotees of ISKCON.Let us pay our humble obeisance to His lotus feet and seek His bliss for success of 'Global Peace & Universal Brotherhood" with all sincerity and humility at our command!
