The dead body of Sri Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi of Andhra Pradesh of India was given Mahasmadhi with state funeral amongst chanting of Vedic Mantras from the learned Hindu Priests this forenoon of April 27,2011 at the Sai Kulwant Hall in Prashanti Nilayam that took almost three hours to go through entire religious rituals in... presence of over lakh of His devotees and many VVIPs including Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, Ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Naidu,Governor of Punjab, BJP leader L.K.Advani and a fleet of State Ministers of Andhra Pradesh ,several M.P and many M.L.A...

Ratnakar , nephew of the deceased Sri Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi had performed the final rites of Sri Sathya Sai Baba this morning that started from 9:00A.M. and took roughly three hours to go through all process of His Mahasmadhi. H...is Mahasmadhi sthal (burial-place) was soon opened for His family members, trustees and VVIPs who were present on the occasion who paid their obeisances. Soon after, Maha Arti was performed and conducted by all those priests present there..Later on, Mahasmadhi sthal was opened for devotees who were allowed to file past the burial site and continue to remain open for two days. All eyes are now on the trust meeting, which will decide who will administer the Guru’s vast empire. The main contender is his nephew Ratnakar who performed the final rites this morning.Let us join to offer our humble obeisance tothe lotus feet of the deceased Sri Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi and pay our respectful homage to Him and seek His bliss for well-being of all living-being of this universe!
