Some random thoughts including that of on role of Governor of Karnataka as flashed by me on the f.b on October 13,2010.

Bishwanath Singh :
Though, it’s true that we are living in space age, but still, we continue our backwardness in our thoughts and actions towards ladies who have place of pride in our society. Many of us have not learnt as how to respect ladies who are our mother, sisters, spouse, daughters, daughters-in-laws, grand daughters, niece and ...friends. As we often come across the news that the conditions of working women are still all the more the worst because of ill-treatment of their employers with them who exploit them maximum in most of the their cases. Similarly, the most of working women are also very badly exploited by their esteemed colleagues who try to be friendly with them on the first onset and later on, they are exploited the maximum and also ill-behaved by passer-bye and their relations giving them lot of allurements. It is high time for all of us to rise and enduce mass awareness amongst people at large that ladies are not sellable commodities like fruits and vegetables rather they have place of pride in our society as they happen to be our most loving mother, sister, daughter, daughters-in-laws, niece, grand daughters & grand children whom we must learn to adore them and save their chastity by all means. Our country is known for its old values and heritage where ladies have place of pride in our societies that we must retain at all cost.

I fail to understand as why this double standard played by a constitutional head of a state? At one hand, the Governor had recommended for imposing President's rule in Karnataka there because of failure of the present State Govt. there and after sometime, directing the Chief Minister to again seek vote of confidence on.the 14th of October 2010 on floor of the house.

Bishwanath Singh :
What are all these speak to people at large? Do they not prove the partisan view taken by the Governor to dislodge the present non-congress Govt.? What was the hurry for the Governor to recommend to the Union Home Ministry to impose Presid...ent's rule there before analyzing entire situation in detail in right perspective. Was it not with intention just to prove his loyalty to congress henchmen at the centre? If it is so, that speaks very badly on his part. I leave all these to be judged by journalists as whole and raise the issue with Union Govt. of India not to appoint any political person as the Governor of any state any more.

Bishwanath Singh :
Happiness is a state of mind or feeling characterized by contentment, love, satisfaction, pleasure, or joy. A variety of biological, psychological, religious, and philosophical approaches have striven to define happiness and identify its sources. While direct measurement of happiness presents challenges, the Research ha...s identified a number of attributes that correlate with happiness: relationships and social interaction, extraversion, marital status, employment, health, democratic freedom, optimism, endorphins released through physical exercise and eating chocolate, religious involvement, income and proximity to other happy people. Philosophers and religious thinkers often define happiness in terms of living a good life, or flourishing, rather than simply as an emotion. Happiness in this older sense was used to translate the Greek Eudaimonia, and is still used in virtue ethics.Happiness economics suggests that measures of public happiness should be used to supplement more traditional economic measures when evaluating the success of public policy. There is now extensive research suggesting that religious people are happier and less stressed. One must feel that happiness is not thrust upon rather it comes from within after day’s hard work.
