Kali Puja is performed by Bengalies instead of Laxmi Puja on the eve of Diwali as flashed by me on the f.b. on Nov.7,2010.

Bishwa Nath Singh :
In Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttranchal, Madhya Pradesh & few other states of India, we worship the deities of Lord Ganesh & Goddess Laxmi on the eve of Diwali-the festival of lights popularly known as Laxmi Puja whereas in West Bengal, Goddess Kali is worshipped with gaiety to which Bengalese call Kali Puja.L...et us have a glimpse of the deity of Goddess Kali where Kali Puja is being performed on the eve of Diwali-the holy festival of India!
