Bishwa Nath Singh

In UK, the mother’s day will be celebrated on April 3,2011.The mother is a woman who has conceived, given birth to, or raised a child in the role of a Parent Just because of the complexity and differences of a mother's social, cultural, and religious definitions and roles, it is challenging to define a mother to suit a universally accepted definition. The male equivalent is a father

Bishwa Nath Singh :

Mother is one who nurtures you in her womb for nine months and brings you forth to enjoy the supreme blessing on earth, that is, Life. Mother is one who guides you through your infancy and turns the soft, helpless creature to the powerful a...nd successful YOU. She is the guardian angel protecting you and supporting you, feeling for you and serving you silently always with a smile on her face. She prides herself watching you grow and provides you a shoulder to cry on whenever you need. She is every child's best friend. For a child, every single day should be a Mothers Day. The essence of the meaning of Mother's Day is in the fact that we should try and make this day every year a memorable one for your mother. She should cherish the special feeling of this day and the intensity of that feeling should last her the lifetime. It is the day to remember, and pray for that special person in our life, without whom we would not have been, what we are today; a day to prove that all her efforts, towards making us a complete person, have been worthwhile and make her feel proud for us. In the broader sense of the term, Mother's Day is a day to be grateful to God for being so kind as to bless us with an angel in the form of Mother. None can replace mother on this earth who loves her children more than her precious life. Almost eight months have passed since my mother had parted us to go into her heavenly abode but hardly there is a day that we do not remember her great qualities and pay our humble obeisance to her lotus feet. Let us join to pay our humble obeisance to her lotus feet and offer our respectable homage to her who was constantly one who was a great guide and teacher to us!

Manjula Rishi Yes it is Mothering Sunday as it is called here this sunday and mainly fathers take the children to the shops to buy flowers and few things. I have seen in the shops children save a bit from their pocket money and buy some thing and the happiness on the kid's faces is wonderful to see. It is good that one day at least mother gats a day off from doing household work in many housholds.
