A floral tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as flashed on the f.b. on April 15,2011.

Bishwa Nath Singh:

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is remembered as the most lovable son of our motherland who was affectionately called as Baba Saheb. He was one of the most illustrious sons of our motherland.. He appeared on the Indian socio-political scene in early 1920s and remained in the forefront of all social, economic, political and religious efforts for upl...iftment of the lowest stratum of the Indian society known as untouchables. Baba Saheb was a great scholar who made outstanding contributions as an economist, sociologist, legal luminary, educationalist, journalist, Parliamentarian and above all, as a social reformer and champion of human rights. Baba Saheb organized, united and inspired the untouchables in India to effectively use political means towards their goal of social equality. He is still cherished as the first Union Law Minister of Nehru Cabinet during post-independence era. His services to Buddhism is still cherished by most of us though we have not seen him but feel very close to him due to his ideology. Let us join to pay our respectful homage and floral tribute to him on his Birth Anniversary that the grateful nation had celebrated on the 14th of April 2011 on the eve of Ambedkar Jayanti all over the country with great festivity! The grateful nation had honored him posthumously with the highest civilian award of Bharat Ratna in 1990.
