It was the most welcome proposition for our Indian Cricket Team under captainship of Mahendra Singh Dhoni to win the toss and it was a dream start, especially the way the opener cricketer Virender Sehwag had struggled in the ICC World Cup Semi final match that was played in between India and Pakistan on the 30th of March 2011.Tho...ugh, our Indian Cricket team was victorious but majority of us were not pleased with the score of two hundred sixty by our Indian team due to the untiring efforts and good fight exhibited in the game by the Pakistani bowlers and Sachin Tendulkar not establishing record of hundred century in the said match duly watched by both the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan and fleet of eminent personalities and celebrities

Our Indian Cricket team has the best batting line-up and has the power to win a match from any situation. Yuvraj Singh got the crucial breakthrough by scalping Asad Shafiq and Younis Khan in quick succession when the team needed it and ev...erybody were amazed. He got the breakthrough at a very crucial stage and that proved to be the turning point of the match. It was great to see him bowling so well. Pak.Cricket team could not cope-up with the pressure well and succumbed in the later stages of the game. It was their hard luck that they had also fielded poorly. Although Indian Cricket team at Mohali in Punjab of our country were twenty runs short of a good score in the semi-final, finally they managed to win. It was a great team effort and everybody made contributions one way or the other. The strength of this team is not on one particular player and that is the best thing that was noticed all through out in our cricket team. Certainly, the performance of Our Indian Cricket batsman of Sachin Tendulkar’ was praiseworthy. He had a calibre to avail so many chances in his innings and not capitalizing on them to score a century though everybody had wished him to score a century to add to his feather of having hundred century on the 30th of March 2011 at Mohali during ICC World Cup Semi final match that was played in by both Indian & Pak. Cricket team. As the match progressed, we could feel the pressure on both the teams, apart from Sehwag who had played his natural game at ease. He never allowed the pressure of the big match to take hold of him. Dhoni, has been a strong batsman but he did not play his natural game and during his innings, the Indian team struggled despite the fabulous start provided by Sehwag. Dhoni should have rotated the strike more and played his natural game in a pressure game like this. The majority of us were not pleased with the score of two hundred sixty by our Indian team due to the untiring efforts and good fight exhibited in the game by the Pakistani bowlers. We were expecting around three hundred scores and that would have been an excellent score on that wicket but none of our cricketers save Sachin Tendulkar looked as fluent at the crease as that of Virendr Sehwag. The expectations from our Indian Cricket team were very high and Dhoni decision to leave out R. Ashwin to make way for Ashish Nehra was the best possible option available with the team that he had done in the best interest of the game.It was the right decision to play Nehra in this match considering the pitch in Mohali. The team needed to make changes according to the prevailing conditions. Ashwin can always come back in the next game but Nehra’s inclusion in Mohali match was important and he justified it and came out with flying colors. Our Indian Cricket team is very talented and has not played to their potential so far but is still winning. Let us wish and pray that they will play to its potential in the final match against Sri Lanka in Mumbai scheduled to be played on the 2nd of April 2011 and would come out victorious besides Sachin Tendulkar establishing a record of hundred century there! It was great to see the Prime Minister of Pakistan comin all the way to Mohali on the 30th of March 2011 to watch the match in company of our Indian Prime Minister. One thing was very praise worthy that both the teams exhibited their sportsman spirit all through out the game and remained very calm and disciplined. Let us hope this the visit of Pak. Prime Minister will go a long way in improving the relationship between the two countries that is essentially required for enforcement of peace and all-round progress in both the countries !
Vikash Singh :
We just maintained our record. India have never beaten by Pak in ICC World Cup, Mini World Cup and T20 World Cup.
