Today, the entire universe celebrates “Gita Jayanti” with great festivity & fervor. Nevertheless to mention that it is a fact that the Bhagavad Gita has been a main guiding force not only to the people of India and but of abroad too. Gita comprises of recitation in the midst of a battle field at Kurukshetra when Lord Krishna instru...cts Warrior Arjuna about the duty of an individual and at the same time he cautions that one should not run away from the battle field whenever he /she is called upon to fight for Truth. Mahatma Gandhi was said to had derived his inspiration of truth & non-violence primarily from the holy book of Bhagvad Gita. It is divine song of Lord Krishna.The message of the Gita could very well be found in the second chapter of the holy book where Lord Krishna spoke of the balanced state of mind of mental balance. In nineteen verses at the end of the second chapter of the Gita, Lord Krishna had explained as how this state of mind can be achieved. He had very well described that the said state of mind could be achieved after killing all passions& unscrupulous desires. The whole Gita is very well described in the language of beauty that can never be surpassed. Let me greet all of you on this auspicious occasion of “Gita Jayanti” and urge all of us to emulate its teachings in our life!
