A rspectful homage to Radha Rani as flashed on the f.b. on Dec.25,2010.

The people at large await for the month of Bhadra, Bhadrapada, during the waxing fortnight on the eight day when the most auspicious appearance of Vrishabhanu Nandini Srimati Radhika, the most beloved associate of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great fervor & devotion. Just as Krishna’s glories are unlimited ,similarly, the glories ...of Radha Rani are also unlimited. Radha Rani is widely known as the embodiment of Krishna’s internal, pleasure giving great potency – Hridayani Shakti.The legend goes that Radha Rani had appeared near Krishna’s appearance place in Raval. It is said that her father Vrishabhanu Maharaja found an infant girl floating on the Yamuna River while her eyes had remained closed. So although Vrishabhanu Maharaja was elated to have that infant girl but as she was not looking at any one because of her eyes being closed, he was upset and little distressed. But the great saga of ancient era Swami Narada Muni appeared on the scene and he told him not to worry and that very soon the infant girl would be seeing him and every one who comes close to her.. Vrishabhanu Maharaja had faith in the words of the great sage but he was a astonished to see Narada Muni showing so much respect to that infant girl and also offering many prayers to Her whom later on Vrishabhanu Maharaja had adopted her as his most loving daughter. A few days later Nanda Baba, his wife and Nandalala came to visit Vrishabhanu Maharaja and his family and it so happened that Krishna went to the place where Radha was there. Radha Rani then opened her eyes seeing Her Krishna. The pastimes of the divine couple are most wonderful, sweet, amazing, confidential and intimate. Only the pure devotees can fully and properly understand them. But with a humble mood, in the association of the pure devotees we may also hear these wonderful pastimes. For most devotees, who are aspiring for Radha-dasyam this is supposed to be the most important day. A new outfit is offered for Mangal Aarti and then there is a new day dress every now and then besides the deity of Radha is offered lot of new jewelry. The flower decorations are most wonderful on Radhastami. Wonderful Radha-katha are heard there with rapt attention followed by an ecstatic abhishekham and kirtan. The day is celebrated with great festivity and honor all over the world .Let us wait for the day when we can join this happy celebration in Iskcon temoles located at Vrindavan,Mayyapuri,Delhi & other cities and Banke Bihari temple of Vrindavan, Shri Krishna Janam Bhumi temple at Mathura, besides Shrinath Dham located in Rajasthan in India where the festival is celebrated with great festivity and devotion in India. During the year 2009,I had the pleasure to present my key address to august house of devotees on the eve of Radha Jayanti that was celebrated in Ukrain with great devotion and still remember my speech in Hindi was exclusively translated by Swami Ram Lakshman Das in Ukrainian language that was heard by devotees with rapt attention and was given due publicity.
