As part of the ceremony, all participants form a human pyramid to br...eak the “Mataki “(Dahi Handi) suspended from the top with a rope. Truly speaking, . Krishna Janmashtami festivities “Dahi Handi “a popular sport in and around Mumbai in Maharashtra State of India with several places offering a huge money. Janmashtami Govindas are young men who form a human pyramid to reach to break the ‘dahi handi’ or pot of curd suspended high. On the eve of Janmashtami well known musicians play their music marathon to celebrate Lord Krishna birth at the hour of midnight in Mumbai Mostly fluit players believe Lord Krishna’s flute to be the Lord’s gift to the world. Some of the famous Krishna Temples in India where Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated with much importance include Krishna Janma Bhoomi Mandir in Mathura, Banke Bihari Mandir in Vrindavan, Srinath Temple in Rajasthan, Dwarkadhish Temple in Gujarat, Krishna Temple in Hampi, Guruvayur Temple in Kerala, Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna Temple in Alappuzha, Udupi Sri Krishna Temple in Karnataka, and ISKCON Temples in Mayapuri in West Bengal, Vrindavan in U.P.,Delhi,Mumbai,Poone ,Allahabad & Tirupati.
