Ziradei pays foral trbute and remembers its illustrious son Dr. Rajendra Prasad as flashed by me on the f.b. on Dec.4,2010

Ziradei ,the village in Bihar State of India-the Birth Place pays its floral tribute to Late Dr. Rajendra Prasad ,an illustious son of that village on his Birth Anniverasry who had served the nation with distinction as the President of the Constituent Assembly that drafted the first constitution of the Republi that... lasted from 1948 to 1950 and also briefly served as a Union Cabinet Minister in the first Government of the Indian Republic and later on as the fist President of India from January 26,1950 to May 13,1962 The grateful nation decorated him with the highest civilian award Bharat Ratna alone in the year 1962.Dr.Rajendra Prasad who was born on December 3,1884 at Ziradei Village in the then Saran district of Bihar State affectionately called Rajen in his early days. He was the youngest in a large family, & was close to his mother and eldest brother. His father, Mahadev Sahay, was a scholar of both the Persian and Sanskrit languages, while his mother, Kamleshwari Devi, was a religious woman. Zeradei's population was diverse, with both Muslims and Hindus living in relative harmony. After the completion of traditional elementary education, he was sent to the Chhapra District School. At the age of twelve, he was married to Rajavanshi Devi. He, along with his elder brother Mahendra Prasad, then went on to study at T.K. Ghosh's Academy in Patna .He was a brilliant student throughout school and college. Let us pay our homage to him!
